Sept 30, 2011- Fukushima, Japan. Animal rescuer Yoshiko Wada waits for her partner to bring cages so that they can transfer cats caught in traps to cages during an animal rescue mission in the abandoned village of Tsushima, Namie town.. Ms. Wada and her partner Mr. Harmison rescued 11 animals from the area. Radiation readings in the village on the 30th according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology were 6.3 microsieverts per hour.  (Photo by B.Meyer-Kenny/2.0 Images).
